Glass factory worker dies in workplace accident

A worker of PHP Glass factory died in a workplace accident in Barabkunda area of Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong on Saturday night.

The deceased Mohiuddin, 24, of Dakkhin Mahmudabad Chowdhurypara area in the upazila, got his right hand cut on a broken glass while working in the factory, said his cousin Jitul Alam. He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, said CMCH police, adding that he died due to excessive bleeding.
