HC grants bail to Jubo Dal chief Alal

The High Court yesterday granted six months' ad-interim bail to Jubo Dal President Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal in two vandalism cases, clearing the way for his release from the Kashimpur jail-2.

Alal was arrested on December 24 last year in the cases filed for attacking the ruling party's Netrakona-1 lawmaker, Chhabi Biswas, and vandalising his car, and preventing police from discharging duties in Dhaka Medical College Hospital area the same day.

The incidents occurred when BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia appeared before a court in Bakshibazar in Dhaka in the Zia orphanage and Zia charitable trust corruption cases on December 24.
