Hostel room in Dhaka catches fire

Panic spread among the residents as a fire broke out in a room on the fourth floor of a five-storey female student hostel on the capital's Green Road last night.

The fire, originated from an electric short circuit, burnt the stuff of the room, fire fighters said.

Two fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire in 20 minutes.

No casualty was reported, fire fighters said.
