Husband 'kills' wife in Rajshahi

A man allegedly hacked his wife to death over a trifling matter in Baya Bholabari area under Shahmukhdum Police Station in Rajshahi city yesterday.

The deceased was Safiya Begum, 25, wife of Aynal Haque. Police nabbed the husband.

Another woman, their neighbor, was also injured as she tried to resist Aynal during the incident. She was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Police sent the body to the hospital for autopsy. A case was filed.
