IO testifies against three Habiganj war crime suspects
The International Crimes Tribunal-1, led by Justice Anwarul Haque, yesterday recorded the testimony of Noor Hossain, the investigation officer of the case filed against three Habiganj men for allegedly committing crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.
Noor, also the 12th and last prosecution witness, exhibited several documents and testified about the investigation procedure in details.
The accused are Muhibur Rahman alias Boromian, Mujibur Rahman alias Angur Mian and Abdur Razzak of Baniachang upazila. They face four charges including murders and rapes, but pleaded not guilty. After Noor's testimony, the defence counsels began the cross-examination, which will continue today.
