Journalist Jharna Moni gets award

Jharna Moni, a senior reporter of Bangla daily Bhorer Kagoj, has won PIB-Sohel Samad Memorial Award-2015 for her story on the arson victims during 2014 blockade enforced by BNP-led alliance.

The story "Burn Unit-e Hartal Victim: Purchhe Manabota, Purchhe Swapno" won the jury award for feature category, said a press release. The journalist received Tk 50,000 and a crest at an event held at the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) in the capital yesterday.
