JP hails crackdown on Yemeni militants

The Japa Chief HM Ersahd who is also the special envoy to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday in a statement extended support to the Saudi air strikes in Yemen aimed to demolish Shia rebels, Houthi, and allied military units.
"I think the menace of militancy would have spread to the Middle East if there was no effort to oust militants from peaceful Yemen," Ershad said.  The Saudi-led coalition has imposed an air and sea blockade on Yemen and targeted both rebels and military units loyal to former autocrat Ali Abdullah Saleh Saleh, hoping that Yemen's internationally recognised President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi would be eventually allowed to return to the country.
