JU teachers to abstain from work today protesting Siddiquee killing

Jahangirnagar University Teachers' Association (Juta) will observe work abstention today for one hour protesting the murder of Rajshahi University Prof AFM Rezaul Karim Siddiquee.

It also urged the government to ensure exemplary punishment for the killers.

The decision came at a meeting of the association on Sunday, said a press release.

Members of the association will also form a human chain wearing black badges and submit a memorandum to the home and education ministries through JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam.
