'Jubo Dal leader' held over robbery

Police arrested an alleged Jubo Dal leader and his associate with arms in Oxygen area of Chittagong city yesterday.

The arrestees are Taj Uddin Nuru, 38, of Fatikchhari upazila -- president of Jubo Dal of ward-3 unit in the city -- and Abdul Quader, 40, of Hathazari upazila, said Officer-in-Charge of Bayezid Bostami Police Station Mohammad Mohsin.

Nuru was arrested in connection with a robbery incident in the city's Kailarghar area on March 21, said the OC, adding, Quader was arrested with a light-gun following information gleaned from Nuru.
