Khaleda seeks 'enough' security to attend court today

Khaleda Zia might appear before a Dhaka court today in two corruption cases if the government ensures adequate security for the BNP chairperson, her counsel Khandker Mahbub Hossain said yesterday.

An adviser to Khaleda, he made the remarks while talking to reporters at the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) president's office.

Khaleda will take the final decision about her appearance at the court after consulting her lawyers, he said.

A special Dhaka court is scheduled today to record statements of prosecution witnesses in the Zia Orphanage Trust and Zia Charitable Trust graft cases.
