Khaleda turned BNP into party of terrorists

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu yesterday said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia had made BNP a party of terrorists and as their leader she had chosen the way of her own destruction.

He also called Khaleda "Agun Sontrashi" (an arsonist) and a patron of militants, while addressing the press at the Bangladesh Secretariat.

Asked whether the government would bar Khaleda's return home from London, he said there would be no restriction.

Rejecting the call of BNP leader Moudud Ahmed to forge a unity among all democratic political parties, Inu said Moudud was trying to justify their political nexus with Jamaat-e-Islami, militants, and fundamentalists through the call of unity.

He also said the West played a double standard on the question of Bangladesh.
