Khoka faces arrest warrant

A Dhaka court yesterday cancelled bail and issued arrest warrant against BNP leader Sadeque Hossain Khoka in connection with a sedition case.

After taking cognisance of the charge, the court passed the order as he did not appear before it yesterday. The bail term of Khoka expired yesterday. The court fixed January 11, 2016 for hearing on charge framing against Khoka in his absence.

According to the case, Khoka, now in the US for treatment, on October 14, 2013 directed his party leaders and activists to demonstrate with machetes and axes in Dhaka.
