M Afzal no more

Former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Bangladesh Police M Afzal Hossain has passed away this Tuesday. He was 92.

Afzal was also a former lecturer of Dhaka University's Economics department, where he completed his MA degree in 1951. He later joined the then Pakistan Police Service in 1954. He retired from Bangladesh Police as the DIG of Dhaka range in 1980.

He is survived by his five children.
