Magistrate gets threat letter

A magistrate was issued a death threat in a letter yesterday.

The name and address on the letter and envelope was written as "Ansarullah", Kishoreganj upazila of Nilphamari.

Kamrun Nahar Rumi, a special magistrate of Palli Bidyut Court at Nikunja-2, received the letter at her office in the capital. She was also threatened to leave her job within 10 days. A general diary has been filed.

Sub-inspector of Khilkhet Police Station Hanifuddin who is investigating the matter, told The Daily Star that a peon received the letter around 1:30pm.
