Man arrested with firearm in Ctg

Police arrested a man in possession of a makeshift gun and ammunition from Bakalia area in Chattogram city yesterday.

The arrestee is identified as Abdus Subhan, 31, from Taktarpole of Bakalia area, according to police sources.

Bakalia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Nezam Uddin said, on information, a police team arrested Subhan with the firearm and ammunition near his house in the area.

Subhan has stood in six cases filed with different police stations, said the police official.

OC Nezam Uddin said a case was lodged with the police station in this connection.
