Man found murdered in house in Joypurhat

A microbus driver was found dead with his throat slit in his house in Khetlal upazila of Joypurhat yesterday.

Police recovered the body of Dulal Hossain, 30, son of Abdul Motaleb of Golahar village in the upazila, and sent it to Joypurhat Modern Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Khetlal police said Dulal's mother first noticed the body when she entered his room as he was late to go to a mosque for Jumma prayers.

Hearing her screams, residents of the area informed police of it.

Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Khetlal Police Station, said a sharp weapon was found on the spot.

No case was filed till last evening.
