Man killed in CEPZ

A man was stabbed to death inside Chittagong Export Processing Zone on Monday night.

Alauddin Tamim, 23, of Pirojpur, worked under a subcontractor at Regency One, an RMG factory in CEPZ, said police.

A group of youths beat Tamim and some of his colleagues and tried to snatch their cellphones, said EPZ police Sub-inspector Ruhul Amin, adding that they stabbed Tamim and fled the scene.

"The whole matter seemed to be mysterious," said Ruhul, adding, "We are investigating the incident."
