Marine Fisheries Association gets new leadership

Bangladesh Marine Fisheries Association (BMFA) elected its new executive committee for 2019-2021 at a meeting in Hotel Radisson Blu Chattogram on Saturday.

Nurul Qayyum Khan was elected president, according to a press release issued yesterday.

Khan is also president of Bangladesh Inland Container Depots Association (BICDA) and co-chairman of the FBCCI Standing Committee for the Ministry of Shipping.

BMFA members unanimously elected the 15-member committee -- with Vice Admiral (retd) Zahir Uddin Ahmed as the 1st vice president; Ahsan Iqbal Chowdhury the 2nd vice president; Moshiur Rahman Chowdhury as secretary general and Md Nazrul Islam as treasurer, the press release said.
