Muhith also criticises four foreign envoys

Finance Minister AMA Muhith yesterday criticised four foreign ambassadors for expressing anxiety over the country's law and order.

There is no law and order problem in Bangladesh, said Muhit, adding, "It is the anxiety of ambassadors of a number of countries. Your anxiety is really rubbish."

The minister made the comments after a meeting with a delegation of Russia's Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation at the secretariat in the capital.

His criticism was apparently aimed at the countries which updated travel alerts following the recent killings of two foreigners in Bangladesh.

When asked about the beefed-up security measures at the country's airports, he said, "The four ambassadors have created such a situation that you will have to do something."
