No alterative to city govt: Khokon

Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sayeed Khokon yesterday said to solve the problems of Dhaka city there is no alternative to city government.

Addressing a views-exchange meeting with the locals at the capital's Gopibagh Samaby Society playground, Khokon said to make the city livable, forming of a coordinated authority is essential.

Khokon also inaugurated closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the ward-8 and said that more than 500 CCTV were set up in different wards. Architect Mubasshar Hussein also spoke.
