Obituary

Akhter Hamid Monsur, a veteran journalist and former General Manager (Public Relations) of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), died due to cardiac failure at his residence yesterday morning. He was 68.

He was suffering from Parkinson's disease for a long time.

He left behind his wife and a daughter. He was buried at the Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard in Mirpur.

A doa mahfil will be held after Asr prayers on Friday at 20/7 Babar Road, Block-B, Mohammadpur, Dhaka-1207.
