Obituary

AMAH Siddiqui, the founding director general of the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET), died of old-age complications in his Uttara residence in the capital on Friday night. He was 81.

Siddiqui, also the founding director general of Bangladesh Manpower Planning Centre, had served ILO as a senior labour and manpower expert. A doa mahfil will be held in his Uttara residence on January 9.
