Pro-AL panel sweeps Cuta election

Awami League-backed yellow panel won all the eleven executive posts in the election of Chittagong University Teachers' Association (Cuta) yesterday.

Prof AFM Aowrangazab of management studies was elected president, said chief election commissioner Prof MA Gafur.

Associate Prof Sukanta Battacharje of English was elected general secretary. Prof Khaled Misbah-Uj-Jaman of the forestry and environmental science institute, Prof Alok Paul of geography and environmental studies, and Assistant Prof Md Mohsin of physics were elected vice president, treasurer and joint secretary respectively. from the yellow panel, added the election commissioner.

The yellow panel got all the posts of six executive members as well.
