Rangpur police buy 6 vehicles, saving govt money
The Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) recently bought six vehicles including a private car by saving money from government allocation for different sectors to facilitate smooth patrolling.
Of the six vehicles, two human haulers have been handed over to Kotwali Police Station, one each to Tajhat Police Station, Mahiganj Police Station and Detective Branch of police. Officers will use the private car, says a press release.
The RpMP, established in September 2018, lacks vehicles for patrolling as purchase needs to maintain some procedure.
The activities at the concerned police wings have gained momentum after getting the vehicles, officials said.
RpMP Commissioner Abdul Alim Mahmud said they have saved money from government allocation to different sectors and bought the vehicles.
