Recording of testimony deferred to April 28
A Sylhet court yesterday deferred recoding of the testimony of witnesses to April 28 in the former finance minister SAMS Kibria murder case.
The order came as only one accused out of 13 appeared before the court yesterday, said Kishore Kumar Kar, public prosecutor of the tribunal.
Five people, including Kibria, were killed and 70 others injured in a grenade attack on a public rally of Awami League at Baidder Bazar in Sadar upazila of Habiganj on January 27, 2005.
Awami League leader Abdul Mazid Khan filed two cases -- one for murder and another under the Explosives Substances Act -- with Habiganj Police Station the following day.
