Road crashes kill 6

Six people were killed and 11 others injured in road accidents in three districts yesterday.

In Narsinghdi Sadar, two people were killed and five others, including a child, injured when a truck rammed a battery-run auto-rickshaw carrying them on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Khatehara area.

The deceased were Sunil Das, 60, and Dulal Miah, 32.

In Tangail Sadar, three passengers of a CNG-run three-wheeler were killed and two others injured when a truck hit the vehicle on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway in Rasulpur area.

The deceased were Joaher Ali, 30, and Shahar Ali, 25, of Lalmonirhat and auto-rickshaw driver Sadekul Islam, 24, of Kalihati.

In Jamalpur Sadar, Azizul Haque, 55, of Mymensingh was killed and four people were injured when a CNG-run-auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a battery-run auto-rickshaw on Jamalpur-Mymensingh road in Ghuradhap area.
