Road crashes kill 6, injure 8

Six people were killed and eight others injured in road accidents in five districts yesterday and Saturday.

In the capital, Ramjan Ali, 70, a resident of Lalbagh area was killed when a bus hit him at Shahbagh intersection yesterday.

Meanwhile in Asad Gate area Rafiqul Islam, a security guard, was killed when a three-wheeler hit him.

In Bogra, Abul Hossain Mondal, 70, of B-Block area was killed as he was run over by a vehicle in the area on Bogra-Dhaka highway in Shajahanpur upazila yesterday.

In Mymensingh, Kanai Goshwami, 40, of Muktagacha upazila was killed when his CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a truck on Mymensingh-Tangail road at Satrashia in the upazila on Saturday.

In Rangpur, Sultana Khatun, 17, of Mirbagh area was killed and seven others were injured when an ambulance collided head-on with a three-wheeler on Rangpur-Kurigram highway in Mohesha area of Kaunia upazila yesterday.

In Natore, Rion Hossain, of Kholabaria village was killed and his co-rider injured in a head-on collision between his motorcycle and a Power-tiller in Patul area of Naldanga upazila yesterday.
