Road crashes kill 8, injure 12

Eight people were killed and 12 others injured in road accidents in three districts yesterday and Saturday.

In Patuakhali, two people were killed and nine others injured when a bus collided head-on with a three-wheeler on Baufal-Patuakhali road in Boga area yesterday.

The deceased were Moslem Ali Khan, 65, and Shah Alam Sikder, 70, residents of Kowkhali village.

In Tangail Sadar, Amzad Hossain Master, 50, president of Jadabpur union-unit of AL was killed when a truck hit his motorcycle on Dhaka-Tangail highway at Taratia yesterday.

In Sunamganj, two people were killed and three others injured as a bus hit a mini truck on the Sunamganj-Sylhet highway in Gagli village of Dakhshin Sunamganj upazila on Saturday.

The deceased were Osir Miah, 72, and Nepur Miah, 18, residents of Puran Noakot village.

In Munshiganj, the people were killed when a bus rammed a motorcycle on Dhaka-Mawa highway at Shomoshpur in Sreenagar upazila yesterday.

The deceased were Omar Faruk, 24, Sifat, 22, and saimon, 23, residents of Kabutarkhola village.
