RU to hold honours, masters exams in January

Honours and masters examinations at Rajshahi University, postponed earlier due to the Covid-19 pandemic, has been scheduled to be held from January 2, 2021.

The decision was taken during a meeting of RU academic council chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof M Abdus Sobhan, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Ananda Kumar Saha confirmed.

However, residential halls will remain closed in order to prevent increased risk of Covid-19.

In addition, authorities have also decided to cancel the upcoming winter vacation, the Pro VC added.

Departments that have already started honours and masters exams for the 2015-16 and 2014-15 sessions but could not finish, and departments that have  finished their courses but couldn't start the exams can both hold the examinations starting from January 2.

The exams will be held following health guidelines, RU authorities reportedly decided.
