RU teacher Mahabubur Rahman passes away

Dr Mahabubur Rahman Rasel, an associate professor of mass communication and journalism at Rajshahi University (RU), passed away on Monday night, at the age of 36.

He died at a private hospital while undergoing treatment around 3am. On September 21 last year, he was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University due to brain haemorrhage and was under treatment there for a long time.

Dr Rasel was born in Noakhali. He joined RU as a lecturer in 2009. He left behind his wife, daughter, friends and a host of students and well-wishers to mourn him.
