SC upholds Fakhrul's bail in vandalism case
The Supreme Court yesterday upheld a High Court order that granted BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir bail on April 16 for six months in a case filed with Paltan police for vandalising and torching a car in Dhaka.
The SC passed "no order" on an appeal filed by the government seeking stay on the HC order.
However, Fakhrul cannot get released from jail, since he is arrested in some other cases, said Additional Attorney General Momtaz Uddin Fakir.
