Shajahan declares rally, procession for Khaleda's arrest

Shipping Minster Shajahan Khan yesterday announced organising a rally on the capital's Manik Mia Avenue tomorrow from 3:00pm followed by a procession ending at Suhrawardy Udyan demanding arrest and punishment of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia for "instigating violence during the BNP-led 20-party alliance's recent hartals and blockade".
He made the announcement at a press conference organised by Bangladesh Sramik-Karmachari-Peshajibi-Muktijoddha Samannay Parishad, formed on January 20 and convened by Shajahan, in Dhaka Reporters Unity.
Police are yet to receive three warrants issued in the last two months, two for her arrest in the Zia orphanage trust and the Zia charitable trust graft cases and another to search her Gulshan office for communication devices allegedly being used for subversive activities.
