Six workers injured in explosion at Ctg port

Six workers were injured in an explosion occurred when they were unloading Methanol -laden drums from an imported container at Chittagong Port yesterday evening.
Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) Director (Security) Lt Col Alamgir Kabir said the explosion occurred inside the imported container at New Mooring Container Terminal. He suspected that hot weather might have caused the explosion.
The fire fighting unit of CPA extinguished the blaze immediately.
The six were admitted to the burn unit of Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
