Tarana gets death threat

State Minister for Posts and Communications Tarana Halim received a death threat last evening.

A youth wearing a red T-shirt gave a gift box to the security guard of the Gulshan residence of the state minister, Tarana quoted the guard as saying, while talking to The Daily Star.

A note reading, "Now it is your turn, get ready for death," along with a burial shroud, perfume, and rosewater were inside the box, said Tarana.

Immediately after handing over the box, the person went away, she added.

Gulshan Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sirajul Islam said the name of a mayor was mentioned on the box as the sender.
