Tariqul gets bail for four weeks

The High Court yesterday granted anticipatory bail to BNP leader Tariqul Islam for four weeks in a vandalism case.

The order came following a petition he filed seeking anticipatory bail in the case filed on October 4 this year on charge of vandalising a vehicle and setting it on fire, Tariqul's lawyer Sagir Hossain Leon said.

The HC granted bail to his client considering his illness, he added.
