Teen held for killing friend

Police on Thursday arrested a teenage boy on charge of killing his friend in Khulshi area of Chattogram city.

The 16-year-old accused, an electrician, admitted his crime before a metropolitan magistrate court on the day, said police yesterday.

In his statement, the teenager said he killed his friend Rasel as he had hurled expletives towards his mother, said Officer-in-Charge Pranab Chowdhury of Khulshi Police Station.

On August 3, police recovered the decomposed body of Md Rasel (13), from a hill in Hashem Company area. Law enforcers said he was stabbed to death.
