Train army men for excellence
President Abdul Hamid yesterday stressed providing training to every member of the Bangladesh Army as there is no alternative to training for the development of a disciplinary force.
"Training is an ongoing process. So every member of the Bangladesh Army has to give priority to training to attain highest professionalism," he said.
The president said this while addressing a parade at the fifth reunion of Artillery Corps at Artillery Centre and School at Halishahar of the port city.
The army members should remain aware about the latest techniques and hardware to keep pace with the age, Abdul Hamid said adding that strict discipline apart from training can take a member of army to the peak of professional excellence.
Earlier on his arrival at the parade venue, Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq received the president.
