Truck-covered van collision kills drivers in Sirajganj

Two people were killed and two injured as a truck and a covered-van collided head-on on Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway at Khalkula in Tarash upazila of Sirajganj early yesterday.

Md Nobi (30), the covered-van driver; and Johurul Islam (32); driver of the truck, died on the spot, said police.

Md Bodiuzzaman, assistant sub-inspector of Tarash Police Station, said the accident took place around 12:30am.

Both the drivers lost their control over the steerings, he added.

The helpers at both the trucks were injured and were admitted to Sirajganj General Hospital, said the ASI.
