Two killed in road crashes
Two people were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Mymensingh yesterday morning. The accidents took place in Bhaluka and Muktagachha upazilas.
In Bhaluka, factory worker Helal Khan (35) was killed after being crushed by a truck on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Baghra area.
He died on the spot, said Md Taimur Ali, inspector of Bhoraduba Highway Police.
In Muktagachha, a TV mechanic was killed and two others were injured on Mymensingh-Jamalpur road in Satrashia.
The accident took place after a motorbike collided head-on with a private car. Deceased Ranjit Mitra (50) was travelling on the bike along with Mahmudul Hasan (35) and Tanvir Hasan (15). All of them were injured critically, said Biplob Kumar Biswas, officer-in-charge of Muktagachha Police Station.
