Woman 'commits suicide' in Dhamrai

A woman allegedly committed suicide by taking poison in Dhamrai of Dhaka on Friday night.

Locals said Lipi Akter, 25, wife of Md Shorif Miah and daughter of Md Mohi Uddin, had an altercation with her family that night.

She was rushed to local Kawalipara Hospital. Later, she died at Saturia Upazila Health Complex in Manikganj.

Md Rakibul Hasan, sub-inspector of Dhamrai Police Station, said she might have committed suicide.
