Woman injured in gas pipeline explosion dies

A woman, who was injured in a gas pipeline explosion at her Kalabagan residence a week ago, died in Dhaka Medical College Hospital yesterday.

Mamataj Begum, 65, suffered 54 percent burn injuries in Saturday's explosion that blew away her tin-roofed house and injured six others of her family.

Five of them are getting treatment in the hospital with 30 to 35 percent burns. Titas Gas alleged that Wasa damaged the pipeline during their work.
