Woman’s body recovered in Dhaka
Police recovered the body of a woman from a tin-shed building in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur area this morning.
The identity of the woman, aged around 30, could not be known immediately, our staff correspondent reports quoting police.
On information, police recovered the body, lying in a pool of blood, around 8:30am from inside the house in Chand Udyan area, said GG Biswas, officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur Police Station.
A man, along with the victim woman, had rented the makeshift house five days ago claiming to be husband and wife, the OC said quoting the neighbours.
The “husband” went into hiding immediately after the incident, said the OC.
The body of the victim has been sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College morgue for autopsy, he added.
Meanwhile, the morgue sources said that the tendons of both legs of the victim were severed and there were injury marks on her head.
