Very well written piece. Unable to beat anti-incumbency, AL apparatus is increasingly becoming a threat to the survival of the country's democracy!

Violence in upazila elections has tarred the government's reputation so much that the prospect a national election under it has become questionable.

“Wrecker in use for extortion by cops” (March 19, 2014)
Mofi
A well-known face of our traffic police, now it comes with a wrecker! Will they ever come out of this shell of corruption?
Shuresh Gulati
The PM goes to attend the annual police parade and every time she extols the police force for their dedication. But the common perception on this department is very negative. The picture one gets from this article is only a minuscule portion of the countless of wrongdoings by the uniformed force whose mission should be to prevent any such offense.
What we see is that the protector has become a terrible pervasive offender.
S. M. Iftekhar Ahmed
This is why people have so little faith in the police. Hard to comprehend how they can indulge in corrupt practices so shamelessly and in public.
