“Elite force or force for the elite?”, published on May 30, 2014

Rab shouldn't have been an elite force nor should it have been a force in the hands of the elite.
It's disturbing to think that a force has a name 'elite' or known to be an elite force. This term 'elite' indirectly implies that other forces like Police or BGB are 'non-elite' or ordinary. Furthermore, the word 'elite' has a clear connotation of staying out of reach of the general people.
We need a simple force, responsive to the needs of the community.

An analysis above by the writer (very accurate and all) really 'hurts' one's brains!! All the actions/words by the Home ministry, Rab, N'ganj MP are so pathetic and infantile that even a two-year-old would struggle!
It's a make-belief fantasy land Bangladeshis live in!

All law enforcement officers must be in uniform while performing their duty at all time and must be able to present their ID cards to citizens on request. Before they go for action of any kind, citizens should be given full rights to access all information. No picking up of citizens without a copy of official order and no secrecy of any kind.
DB or intelligence people in plain clothes must be withdrawn and there should be complete transparency at any point of time.
