“Challenges before Khaleda Zia,” published on January 24, 2014

Zia family should be removed from leading BNP with their backward and pro-war-criminal mindset first. Only then BNP can achieve its popularity back to lead the nation to remove Sheikh Hasina's illegal government from the country.

Today's newspaper says that buffalo genome has been decoded, but our politicians' genome has not been decoded yet. Tarique must return home immediately and risk those avenues to establish himself as an acceptable politician. Khaleda Zia is getting old and BNP is in crisis. Tarique must be able to be brave enough now to return home and sacrifice a few years of his life.

One could return to face the reality, if it was a civilised country run by the rule of law. But here in a Banana Republic, what guarantee is there that the person returning will not be turned into a zombie in a cage? This is what makes us different from the rest of the world, my friend.

That is a challenge Tarique must be brave enough to face and that is the price he must pay if he wants to replace Khaleda Zia in BNP. No other alternatives.

A wonderful article. The BNP is living in a bygone era and must put their ego aside and not underestimate the people. They should also stop listening to those who still give them the impression that the Jamaat is popular and a force to be reckoned with because that could not be more further from the truth.
