2 held with 50 lakh yaba tablets at Kuakata

Two persons were held with 50 lakh yaba tablets in the Bay of Bengal, about 50 miles away from Kuakata in Patuakhali last night.
Lt Commander M Hamidul Islam, assistant director intelligence of Bangladesh Coast Guard, confirmed the haul and arrests to The Daily Star.
The detainees are Mosharraf, 55, and Md Tipu, 30.
The coastguard members detained them when they were on a trawler on the Bay last night.
The yaba peddlers have been using the route to bring the pills in Bangladesh from Myanmar since 2018.
