5 polythene traders fined

A mobile court on Tuesday fined five traders at Salanga Bazar in the district town for illegally selling and storing polythene bags. The court led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Iqbal Akhter raided the area around 4:00pm and fined five traders Tk 2.1 lakh. During the drive the court fined shopkeepers Dulal Kundu, Khagen Poddar, Ajit Basak, and Paritosh Saha Tk 50,000 each and Yadav Chandra Saha Tk 10,000.
