Body recovered

Police recovered the body of a man from a pond near Ullapara railway station in Ullapara upazila of the district on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Shafique, 37, son of Samaj Ali of Nayangati village in Sadar upazila. Officer-in-Charge of Ullapara Model Police Station Tajul Huda said locals found the body floating in the pond at around 12:30 pm and informed the police. The law enforcers recovered the body and sent it to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed in this connection.
