UP chairman lands in jail

A union parishad chairman, arrested on Saturday from Gafargaon municipality area, was sent to jail yesterday.

Md Shahidur Rahman, chairman of Saltia Union Parishad (UP) and former president of BNP union unit, was arrested from his Shulahashia residence in the municipality in an arson case, said Tofazzal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Gafargaon Police Station.
