Child drowns in pond

A 15-month-old boy drowned in a pond at Purbahousdi village under Daudkandi upazila of the district yesterday morning. The dead is Md Ashraf, son of Nurul Amin of the village. Family sources said Ashraf accidentally fell into the pond near their house while playing on its bank and drowned.
